Frequently Asked Questions About Your Journey to Recovery
General FAQS
We believe that there is something for everyone. We aim to ensure clients are as comfortable as possible by offering amenities like regular exercise, modes of relaxation like massage therapy, and various therapies that can be tailored to accommodate clients’ needs.
The length of a stay at this facility varies between 30, 45, 60 and 90 days so that clients can feel supported and prepared to return to life after treatment. We tailor treatment based on our client’s budgets, schedules and needs. We want to encourage clients to take the leap of faith into treatment, which is why we at Simcoe Addiction Mental Health offer several structured, comprehensive programs you can receive in your home.
Simcoe Addiction & Mental Health provides clients with individual and/or group-based therapy sessions. We offer several individual sessions per week, depending on the program. Please get in touch with us if you are curious about a particular program.
Each of our therapists is fully trained and has the appropriate level of education. Receiving treatment from a therapist is quite different to sessions with an addiction counsellor, as the roles are more diverse. Our therapists aim to establish a friendly, open, and non-judgemental connection with clients, helping them to tackle any issues arising physically or mentally as they focus on healing. These professionals help our clients get to the root of any unresolved issues fueling their addiction or difficulties with mental health, and teach them how they can cope with these.
The inpatient program at our residential facility takes a minimum of 30 days. There are a variety of other options including 45, 60 or 90 day sessions. Treatment plans that are beyond the scope of those numbers can be offered, but are based on unique needs.
A client’s needs will be assessed by a clinical team who will discuss their findings with the client in question to ensure they are best supported and understood. Simcoe Addiction & Mental Health also offers a variety of outpatient clinic programs, which are more structured and intensive than the inpatient programs as they last between four to six weeks. If neither of those options fit with your schedule and or budget, we can tailor a program that specifically fits your needs, budget, and timing.
Simcoe Addiction & Mental Health may charge fees for specific programs that are not covered by OHIP, which is due to us being a private organization. However, there are insurance companies that recognize the work that treatment centers like ours do, who can cover these fees. Please get in touch to learn more.
